Women’s March Denver

Saturday, January 21, 2017 is probably the most historically significant moment of my life this far. It was also one of the most emotional and memorable days of my life. I marched because I’m sad and angry and scared of the current state of the country. I don’t think I need to brief anyone on why exactly that is, and I’m not going to waste my time talking about the new President and what his administration aims to take away from women and minorities. But in Denver alone, there were over 200,000 men, women and children marching to preserve the civil liberties of all people. My heart is so full of hope and pride, and I’m so inspired by all of the people around the world who came together peacefully to reject hate. So I wanted to share some of the beauty I saw that day…and also a few dirty jokes (while I don’t think crude jabs at Trump are especially productive, I do find them entertaining and absolutely worth sharing).
